Basic G’s Versus Collaboration G’s.

          Hello and what up everybody?!! So here we are again in my own blog, pouring my every inches of idea for the love and sharing the G’s info. So for today, I would like to highlight about the collaborative G-Shock that seems to be followed by many of the collectors out there. I know many of you guys out there don’t even know the difference. 

So here I’m going to explain about those two. First, basic is only considered as the non-collaborative trademark or other product such as Pepsi/Murakami/Kawasaki and etc. Second, the collaborative with any product or artist is considered collab such as, Dw6900 Supra Edition, Dw6900 Coca-Cola or even DW6900 Joe Chia who collab with the artist. The difference between them is only the outer look or the colour designed. As their production is limited, they stake the prices a little bit higher than usual G's.

With the label’s upcoming Supra project and the ongoing 30^th Anniversary celebrations, we took a look back at what collaborations got the watchmaker so much success up to this point. The real reason for people choosing the collab is only of their interest or collection.


The CASIO’s team if I can say keep their collaborative project with the high end artist or product. This we can see as their marketing strategy as they want to people keep attract to the product. As for me myself, I would not recommended collaborative models because of their price, even though me myself has my own collection of collaborative that I like simply because of their color or even because of the artist itself. The New Splash Pattern G-shock Series

Hello everyone. I hope you are doing well. If you are feeling sometimes like life is too lame and shabby, why don’t you check this out? 

                Yeah....that looks like unfamiliar G-Shock pattern stripes. Your guest is correct, G-Shock has eventually released one of the 2015 model, its hot May 2015 comes G-Shock‘s “Slash Pattern” collection. The range includes a number of the brand’s most popular styles reimagined with a “scratch” design that represents the marks seen at skate parks. These models combine the colour perfectly to show us the energy, extreme and also youth in the user.

So, as this model is consider the latest from G-Shock itself so at the moment I still doesn’t have this model on my wrist. For those who needs more information you can still watch the video provided. 

          For this model, the CASIO’s team project has also announce their new module engine that been used in this model. For those who still don’t know, ‘module’ here is referring to the engine itself. It is not the same module like the other previous GA110. It is using the latest module that is 5146 than the previous one 5081. The different in this module is the calendar and function of the buttons. So seems likely the latest module is the best because it can show us calendar up to year 2099.

     Hey, what’s up guys? So I’ve been wondering if any of you have the problems such as mine. I keep end up leaving my precious phone anywhere. It is troublesome for me as sometimes I nearly lost my phone!! That is not something that should happen...no its not. So, I have the solution for you guys who have this ‘problem’. This has been proven by me myself of course as my GBX6900B-2 is still functioning after a year rough daily use. Not to mention the other smart watch on the market is rechargeable and on top can be use for a month approximately.

     CASIO’s team has launched this product on 2014 and it has been a hot selling model as gadget as smart phone is now a common for students, workers and even kids. So imagine you don’t have to worries about your precious smart phone when wearing this GBX6900 with your particular colour of choices. The market price here for this gorgeous GBX6900 is retailed for RM800++.

      To conclude, I still think CASIO should somehow upgrade their functionality and I am recommending this smart watch to everyone as it is not only more affordable but also doing great as your daily watch.

G Shock Fan’s Club Malaysia, Uniting Us As One

Hey there and how are you today? Well thank you so much to all of you for the comment and suggestion that I’ve been receive. On top of that i also got so many questions from you guys about my knowledge, experience and so on. So, somebody asked me about how I easily get so much information about G-Shock as I am living in Malaysia, and here is the answer. The largest community of G-Shock alive you can find in Facebook’s page the G-Shock Fan’s Club Malaysia (GSFC).

This community has been established on 3 Dec 2013 after the 3 others Facebook’s page has been down because of some minor problem. The founder of the community page, Mr. Saiful have been through up and downs in the others community page and decided to create GSFC in the way he wish it for. He formed the page to let the fans to exchange information, selling and buying and also to be the platform for the newcomers to gather any info they should know before and after buying G-Shock’s products.

The Casual G’s – MT-G1000 Model.

Hey there and what up guys!! So, today I would like to talk about the coolest and most update release of G-Shock that is MT-G model.

So basically MT-G is the next generation from MR-G model but in more sophisticated way. So, eventually CASIO has actually heard the voice of its G-Shock user especially the user since his or her childhood that tends to grow up and can’t really rely more to wear standard G’s that seems to be underage product if I can say. This can be Casio's strategy of wanting to offer a product to the many people who love G-Shock but can't see themselves wearing a plastic digital watch all the time or with more business attire. With an attractive yet technical analogue dial with metal case and bracelet, the MT-G is hoped by Casio to be the G-Shock that will transcend into realms of lifestyle and fashion that no "ordinary" G-Shock was previously allowed to go.

 This is a watch range for men who appreciate the prestige of an exclusive timepiece, but want all the toughness and technology of a G-SHOCK. So, this model basically inspired by the adventurous man that grew up wearing G-SHOCK and now has refined his style to a more professional look, the Metal Twisted G-SHOCK collection consists of three premium chronograph models. The MT-G collection uses the highest standards of engineering and rigorous testing at its design centre in Japan to ensure that every piece remains true to the original G-SHOCK concept, whilst a combination of the finest materials and opulent styling’s deliver the ultimate in a luxury timepiece.

In my experience, I have tried this model and its fit perfectly in my wrist except for its price for this model is RM3000++, this model could be mine. So, for those who practically loves a G-Shock but keep whining for its looks and material, worry no more with this model as even with the metal case and so on, it has the up to date technology from G-Shock called Triple G Protection. If you are an adventure seeker who loves parachuting or skydiving, only the toughest watches can survive the menacing forces of gravity. If you are an adventure seeker who loves scuba diving, only the toughest watches can survive the pressure at 100 meter below the ocean surface. If you are an active member of the military, you jolly well know any battlefield is unpredictable and only the toughest watches can survive the harshest and extreme condition of a battlefield. No wonder many of the US army use Master of G’s as their unofficial mission watch. Let me introduce to you one by one of this series:

                                                          The G-Shock Frogman

          As the name itself suggests, G-Shock Frogman watches are amphibious devices. Water-resistant watches are made to survive a bit of kick and splash of the water. But, this is where the difference lies. They will not survive if you use them heavily underwater day in and day out. In laymen terms, they cannot be used underwater on regular basis! That is why whether you are professional divers, sailor, swimming instructor or even navy… “WHAT???!!” Yeah, you heard me right, for navy. Don’t be surprised as this G-shock Frogman is the most watch used by the Navy SEALS United State due to its durability in the deep blue ocean. For this model of Frogman, I had my own Frogman GF1000NV-2 and for me, this watch is more than enough for everyone in terms of functionality. Refer here.

2.                                                                    G-Shock Riseman

          As the name itself suggests, G-Shock’s Riseman watches are devices that you can take as you rise and conquer places of high altitudes.

If mountain climbing is your passion and your life goal is to conquer all the highest mountain in the world, you may want to get one of the Riseman watches early. All Riseman watches come with unique sensor capabilities that can tell you information such as altitude, barometric pressure and temperature. I previously had this model and it has its own unique structure but it is not my favorite as it’s too small for my wrist.

3.                                                                      G-Shock Mudman

          Yes, it has got to do with mud! You are probably right. The Mudman watches are specifically built with special case. In addition to being a shock absorb, it is able to stop the tiniest particles. So, if you always work in places where dust, oil or mud are abundant, the Mudman series is designed with people like you in mind. G-Shock Mudman watches are designed to stop these particles from making their way into the watch and damage the inner workings of the watch. So the next time you’re off to work, there’s no need to take that watch on and off from your wrist. From my humble opinion of this model as I’ve own one of this model, it is smaller in size with the DW6900 basic model, so for me it is still doesn’t fit through my wrist. But in my own experience using this model in kitchen with oily and humid condition, this is the best model for those situation.

4.                                                                      G-Shock Gulfman

          During its launch back then, the Gulfman line was touted as the perfect fusion between function and fashion. It was designed for anyone who works and plays in wet or humid atmosphere. For me this model is the most non-outstanding model of Master of G’s as it not as full of function as its other siblings and the design also is very similar to The Mudman. Among these product series I have never had this only model personally.

5.                                                                    G-Shock Rangeman

          So here we are at the latest model for Master of G’s. Known as Ultimate Master Of Toughness. One distinct feature of the Rangeman is the use of shock-resistant triple sensor. This means that you can take your G-Shock Rangeman watch to the most gruelling condition and you can expect it to survive the ordeal! So, if you lead an active lifestyle and like to lead life to its fullest with strenuous and adventurous activities, you need tough watches that do not fail when they are supposed to deliver. No matter how extreme is the activity that you do, chances are you would find among the G-Shock Master of G family, the model that fits perfectly to your needs. In my personal view, this is the most amazing model as I’ve also own one of the GW-9400NVJ-2JF. This navy Rangeman is differ from other Master of G’s as I eventually ordered shipping from Japan especially because of its limited production for the carbon fibre strap. The thing is with carbon fibre strap, it is proven to be more efficient in long lasting and durability differ with the original resin band by CASIO. For whole, I truly in love with this Rangeman.

History Of G Shock

Assalamuikum and hello everyone!! Guys, have you ever wonder how the idea of G-shock formed? Well, no need to sweat your mind. I can share the info with all of you.

The creation of G-Shock since 1983

In 1981 the first Project Team Tough has been assembled with three person. Lead by CASIO’s head of watch design at the time, the infamous Kikuo Ibe. He occurred with this idea as he sees a ball that bounce back at the park. Doesn’t seem much though but back then, watch are consider fragile. He thought, why shouldn’t his watch as durable and solid as the rubber ball? They began their efforts targeting a “Triple 10” concept which is 10-metre dropping shock resistance, 10-bar water resistance and 10-year battery life.

After more than 200 experimental prototypes had been produced, a shock-resistant structure was achieved. The first G-SHOCK, the DW5000 (which I also have), was launched in 1983 some two years after the start of development. G-SHOCK has followed a path of unique evolution ever since, while continuing to retain this basic inherited structure. In Malaysia, the G-Shock community address him as “Ayah Ibe” or can be translate as “Father Ibe”.

On 2014, the up-to-date CASIO’s factory in Thailand has been launched. This eventually makes the production more efficient in cost and time. Many of us didn’t know about the CASIO’s factory long ago that established in Malaysia’s been long gone due to the cost production and workforce fees.

Introduction to The G's

Assalamualaikum and welcome to this informative blog.

               Let's get this straight before I start anything. This is an unofficial blog and is not related to Casio or G-Shock. It is purely a fan site about G-Shocks and it is for my course in Diploma in English Communication.
I'll try to update the blog as much as I can. :)

First of all, thank you to Madam Haswinda for entrusting me with my precious topic that is G-Shock watch. G-Shock has been my precious interest for long time. Other than for promoting G-Shock, my intention is to deliver the knowledge and preventing any bad image about G’s itself. G-Shock is a brand of watches manufactured by Casio, known for its resistance to shocks. Its full form is Gravitational Shock. 

For me, G’s is the half of my heart as it is my daily watch. I start to wear my very first G’s in 2006 when my best mate gave me a nice solid black matte DW5600 as my birthday present. Didn’t know until today is it a fake or original one, but I personally kind of think that it is original one. So, that is my first G’s and how I met them. Since then I’ve always be a G-Shock hard-die-fans.
